Carillon Elementary School Parent Feedback Survey – Opens January 23rd

Schools in our district have the opportunity to take part in the development of a new method to showcase what makes each of our schools unique.  SCPS has partnered with Datanautix, a local data analytics firm, to create a new, more transparent school report card that will featuring a snapshot of  parent, student and school staff perceptions as well as other critical data points.

Parents, please assist us by participating in this very short survey that will allow ask you to provide input in your own words about Carillon Elementary School.  The survey will ask how likely you are to recommend our school to others and will provide an opportunity for you to tell us about your experience.

The survey results will be collected and analyzed by Datanautix. All responses are collected anonymously - no personally identifiable information will be included as a part of the survey.  The survey will be open from January 23rdto February 23rd.

4th and 5th Grade Student Surveys

Beginning on Tuesday, January 23rd, students in grades fourth and fifth grade students will have the opportunity to participate in two important feedback surveys.

·         Students will participate in the 5Essentials Survey. This survey, developed by the University of Chicago Consortium on Chicago School Research, asks students about their experiences in school. Having direct information from students is critical for developing plans to improve schools. This is the third year SCPS students have participated in this survey.

·         Students will also have the opportunity to take part in a short perception survey called the Snapshot Survey.  The results of the Snapshot Survey will be collected and analyzed by a local data analytics firm and utilized to create a new more transparent, school report card that will feature student perceptions as well as other school data points. Students will rate how likely they are to recommend their school to other students and describe in their own words what they like most about their schools and what they would like to improve about their schools.

Students’ identities on both surveys will be completely confidential. Teachers or administrators will never see individual responses to survey questions.  To review the survey questions, please go to
 or the following links.

PTA Presents Carillon with $35000 Towards New Playground

On behalf of our school, Dr. Windish accepted a check from the PTA Executive Board. Mrs. Nikki Roberts, Mrs. Callie Wood, and Mrs. Jennifer Zeh were there to present the check. Mrs. Mindy Ross, Mrs. Jennifer Beckenhaupt, and Andrea Smith were the other members of the Executive Board this year.
The check was made out to our Playground Fund for $35,000!  These ladies have done so much for our school and for our students this year.
Thank you PTA for all that you did this year and continue to do for our school! This is such a great initial push for our playground that will look to cost about $100,000.
