Procedures

Students who become ill during the school day will be sent to the clinic. If a child reports that they are not feeling well, a parent may be called to determine a course of action. If the child has a fever, the parent will be contacted to arrange a pick-up. A child must be fever free for 24 hours (without medication) to return to school.

Emergency Information

IMPORTANT! Be sure the information on Skyward is up-to-date and always correct. This will help us to contact you promptly in the event of an emergency. No child will be released (without prior arrangements) to an individual not listed in Skyward as an Emergency contact. Health Records State law requires that students have the proper immunizations and a physical before entering school. Parents must also give consent to provide general health services through Skyward this year.

Absences

Monitoring student attendance and on-time arrival will continue to be a priority this school year. Regular attendance and consistently being on time provide students the opportunity to master required skills at each grade level. Many integral activities, including class discussions, group experiences and direct instruction cannot be replicated with written work. In addition, students entering tardy or being picked up early frequently causes a disruption to the instructional setting.

If your child is absent due to illness, a note is required explaining the absence and should be sent to the teacher upon return.
